Beyond The Vale

"Vale" is another word for ditch, valley or a lower ground. I used it to symbolize the ocean which had surrounded the islands I had come to call home: Sri Lanka and New Zealand. Beyond these shores lie the "vale", to me is the "unknown".

'Unknown' is in our daily lives in every moment. It gives space for our hopes, dreams and imaginations. Yet, we fail to recognise its' existence. It is as if we are failing to see the ocean out of which our lands have come to be.

What will you find in the truth of the unknown?
